Description
After a long flight, you turn the key to the door of your new vacation home and step inside. After putting your bags down, you’re drawn to the beaming natural light coming through the sliding glass door at the oceanfront end of the condo. You unlock the door and step out onto the double-sized lanai, awing at the rocky sea cliffs to the east and the beautiful Poipu Beach Park to the west. Sea breezes and sunbeams brush your hair and face, the sound of the waves below you fill the air with Kauai’s oceanic symphony. You have arrived!
With full air conditioning, a double-sized lanai, 1035 square feet of beautiful island living, and a heated pool, 305A is a perfect vacation home for your tropical getaway. In the main bedroom, the California king overlooks the dramatic Poipu coastline. Rolling waves against the sea cliffs will be sing you to sleep every night. Twin vessel sinks in the main bathroom are stylish and functional, and the stone-floored shower will feel great after a day in the sun. The garden-facing bedroom has two twins that can easily be made into a comfortable king – just please give us plenty of notice! And no matter what the weather, full air conditioning will keep you comfortable and cool the whole year round. Though the garden-facing bedroom does not have its own air conditioning, it is easy to keep it cooled with the living room unit and fans.
When you’re ready to head to world famous Poipu Beach, you’ll be provided with beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers for a beautiful day in the waves. Poipu Beach Park itself is a five-minute walk away Poipu Shores, and you’ll love the oceanfront path that leads from the complex to the beach. Along the way, you’ll see the bodysurfers at Brennecke’s Beach, get some snorkel gear at Nukumoi Surf Shop, grab some shave or lunch at the restaurant next door, and finally see all the sea life in the water.
Back home, 305A features a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to make coffee and meals in your vacation home. A recent remodel to this kitchen installed new granite countertops, new cabinets, and new appliances. At that time, the washer and dryer area had new granite installed. No expense has been spared to keep this luxury vacation home in pristine condition. Beautiful Hawaiian furniture complements the unforgettable environment, and oceanfront sights and sounds will leave you in a state of pure bliss.

We stayed here in august and absolutely loved the condo, the location was great! The ocean is right at the lanai and you can just feel the weight of the world go away with each crashing wave! Also, sleeping to the sound of the ocean was great! The condo had beach umbrellas, cooler, chairs & books to borrow and all the pots & pans and little things you think you might need. The service was impeccable, Thomas was very courteous and nice! The condo was very clean and very comfortable, definately a deluxe retreat! Its in a perfect location on the island as well, walking distance to the beach and restaurants, my favorite was Casa di amici, great food and service!
This was my favorite vacation of all time and cant wait to go again! This was my 5th trip to Hawaii & the Best!

A very nice place on the south shore of Kauai. The sun sets, front and center of your lanai every night as you look out over the ocean and waves crashing on the rocks in front of you. We watched the turtles feed and the whales breach from the Lanai. The room is well furnished and comfortable. It comes with washer and dryer, dishwasher, flat screen TV and stereo/I-pod doc. It is 2 bedrooms with a king and 2 twins in the back bedroom. The front bedroom has an ocean view but the back bedroom windows open to the access corridor for the floor. This bedroom is usually the coolest as the wind will usually come in from that side. The beach is a short walk or drive and except for weekends there appears to be plenty of close parking if you dont want to walk. The onsite pool is nice. There is no aC but the trade-winds usually keep it livable. There are fans (ceiling and floor) if the trades let up and you need to move some air. The condo complex is not too large and is usually quiet.

This place was absolutely just as it is shown...Perfect accomodations for 2 couples with all the accessories required to make your stay as comfortable as possible. We were even personally greeted by Patricia which was a lovely personal touch. An Oceanfront view like nothing else...Beautiful sunsets with the whales performing daily and an abundance of turtles just below scrambling for rock territory. It doesnt get any better than this. Air con certainly was not missed with the ocean breezes coming in through the windows and the sound of the surf made you realize you were really on vacation. Lovely location and we personally loved Casa Di amica restaurant recommended by Patricia...and its within walking distance. We will not hesitate to come back here...

Pat and Toms unit is very well appointed. There is no better ocean front location at Poipu than Poipu Shores. I throughly enjoyed my stay in 305a.

I did a lot of research before making our first trip to Hawaii. Poipu Shores 305a "appeared" to have every thing we wanted. As it turned out there was everything and more. We loved the location, the incredible
views and the sound of the ocean right next door. If we wanted to get involved in big resort activity it was just a short walk right or left along the beach. There are very good restaurants within five minutes.or a short walk. Patricia was was a joy to meet and went out of her way to
make our stay memorable.

Poipu Shores is located directly on the ocean. The sounds of the constant waves breaking on the rocks was relaxing. There is no aC, which worried us at first, but it wasnt needed because of the cooling breezes flowing through the unit. It is within an easy walk to the beach and is comfortably furnished with a nice layout. We heard no sounds from neighbors through the walls while we there. Service is great - we hope to stay there again one day!

We love this property and the condo. The views are spectacular- from whales, turtles, and dolphins, to the beautiful sunset every night. The location is perfect if you enjoy being a stones throw from the water, but value the privacy of not having people walking by all the time. Swimming, snorkeling, and boogie boarding are just a short walk away along the beach to the west. Walking east takes you along some spectacular coastline and you can hike for miles that way. Poipu tends to be sunny even when its raining up north or in Lihue and you are only about 30-45 minutes from the Wiamea Canyon and Kokee State Park with their vast array of hiking trails and overlooks. The Poipu-Koloa area itself offers some shopping and a tremendous choice of restaurants if you prefer to eat out, but dont leave the condo until after that sunset!
Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We have been coming to Poipu Shores, 305a, for many years. It is a wonderful spot to stay. We really love it! There is no better view! It is owned and managed by Patricia who is an absolute delight to work with.

2nd stay at Poipu Shores 305a and again a great visit. The view from the lanai is unforgettable. You can see the beach and park but the best view are the rocks and ocean just in front of you. The waves crash on the rocks outside your room and you can watch turtles just off the rocks and whales further out. The rooms are nice with cable and premium channels in the living room. You need to look for them but they are there. The internet has been upgraded to about 5 Mbps and it comes with the room. Beach gear include chairs, umbrella, cooler and a boogie board. Still not air conditioned but with the trade winds it stayed cool. We looked at other condos that cost less but the location and view keep us coming back.

Recently, a number of clergy friends and I, desperate for a quick mini-retreat, booked Unit 305a at Poipu Shores Condos. Each of us needed time alone and time together to heal. When we walked in the door of the condo and onto the lanai, we knew we had found the perfect place. We had made arrangements for the cupboards to be stocked, so that when we arrived, we could sit and quietly contemplate the physical beauty of the Shores as well as the comfort and convenience of our suite.
... The ocean soothed jangled nerves almost immediately. In fact, for several hours we four sat out on the lanai not speaking, but absorbing the extraordinary topography, the roar of the ocean on the lava rocks, and the orange-and-pink sunset. We began to feel ease and comfort creep into our very being.
Our home, for that is what we called the condo, was perfect.

Patricia went out of her way to make us feel welcome and attend to our needs, even giving us directions to the best zip-lining service.

305A at Poipu Shores was our home for nine days in April. We were joined by
our son and his very good friend on this trip. I spent quite a bit of time on the internet
choosing 305A and was pleased to see that it was everything we had wanted. The unit
is on the ocean and a couple of stories up. The views are spectacular ranging from unbelievable
sunsets to a giant double rainbow on our last day. The accommodations are quite nice and
very comfortable. If you want to spend some time at giant/busy hotel resorts Poipu Shores is
nicely located in between and far enough from the Hyatt and the Marriott. We are planning to
return to Kauai and 305A next year.
It was great to meet Patricia. We appreciated the personal touch.

You are right on top of the ocean and it is was never gentle lapping of the waves, but rather a crashing surf 24/7. We enjoyed it very much, but for light sleepers it might be tough. ... The pool is amazingly scenic and was comfortably heated. The pool does close at "sunset" so that might be too early for some depending on time of year.
... The back gate is great for accessing the beach, but the walk can definitely be a little lengthy with kiddos. It was a leisurely 10 minute walk with our boys to/from Brennecke Beach, but many times they would be pretty cranky by the time we got back to the property given the typical sand/salt rashes. Getting over to the main/kiddie area of Poipu beach (with showers/lifeguards) is at least another 5-10 minutes of walking. It isnt a death march, but will push the limits for some kids as well as for mom and dad when lugging beach gear. The hose at the property entrance is a huge help. .. Poipu Beach is GORGEOUS and awesome to hang around at.

wonderful views and very quiet complex except for the great sounds of the ocean below. Loved that we could sit on the lanai and watch the sun go down and see the turtles and whales. ... I have to say the owner came right over immediately when we called as we first checked in because we found something broken and didnt want to be held responsible for it. Poipu Shores is a great condo complex with a beautiful pool and so close to Poipu Beach. Loved that u can walk to it. Also appreciated the boogie boards and sand chairs that the owners provided. One sand chair was very ripped so we replaced it with one we bought at Kmart. Our contribution to the next guests. Appreciated the grills so we could cook our fish and chicken and chat with the other guests.
