After a long flight, you turn the key to the door of your new vacation home and step inside. After putting your bags down, you’re drawn to the beaming natural light coming through the sliding glass door at the oceanfront end of the condo. You unlock the door and step out onto the lanai, looking in awe at the rocky sea cliffs to the east and the beautiful Poipu Beach Park to the west. Sea breezes and sunbeams brush your hair and face, the sound of the waves below you fill the air with Kauai’s oceanic symphony. You have arrived.
Returning inside, you find your beautifully upgraded and updated vacation home. The owner has spared no expense to make sure that this slice of island living is replete with exquisite furnishing and details alike. Recent remodels and upgrades have taken 303A to a new level of luxury. The fully-stocked kitchen has been completely remodeled: exotic Zebra wood cabinets were installed alongside new countertops and new appliances. New pillowtop tile was installed throughout the living areas, which is cool and comfortable to the touch. Granite capping to the washer and dryer was installed along with new cabinets above. The main bedroom was completely remodeled alongside an overhaul of the bathroom as well. Finally, the entire unit was repainted to tie the bow on this incredible property.
At 303A, you’ll awake every morning to the scenes of the ocean right out of the bedroom window in the main bedroom. The unit is air conditioned in the main bedroom and living areas, so your stay will always be perfectly comfortable and welcoming. As the ocean breezes flow through the unit, you’ll feel completely at home in this vacation home. Between this exquisite property and the heated pool atop the rocky shore, you’ll never forget your stay at 303A.
When you’re ready to head to world famous Poipu Beach, you’ll be provided with beach chairs, umbrellas, and coolers for a beautiful day in the waves. Poipu Beach Park itself is a five-minute walk away Poipu Shores, and you’ll love the oceanfront path that leads from the complex to the beach. Along the way, you’ll see the bodysurfers at Brennecke’s Beach, get some snorkel gear at Nukumoi Surf Shop, grab some shave or lunch at the restaurant next door, and finally see all the sea life in the water.

A slice of paradise

This is the second time weve stayed at Poipu Shores and we love it there. This condo is beautifully remodeled, comfortable and well equipped.
I dont think you can find a better location, the waves are crashing into the coves so close they hypnotize and relax you instantly. Watch lots of turtles surf every afternoon, a quick walk to the beach, followed by a stunning sunset to watch from the deck or master bedroom. Was comfortable even for a family of 4 with grown children. We will be back.
The condo complex itself is older but well maintained and this is a great remodel. I dont think they would ever let developers build this close to a beautiful, rugged coast again, this place is unique. In contrast you can find newer condo complexes complete with gyms and some additional amenities, but you will be several hundreds of yards from the ocean with a walk and a distant view. At this location, the waves are crashing maybe 50 or 100 yards away, and its even kinda loud at times.

Once again we enjoyed Poipu Shores courtesy of Patricia Bien and her incredible condo! We have stayed in 206a in the past and love it too. 303a seems larger with incredible upgrades and views of the ocean. There is no other place to stay in Kauai, particularly with so many turtles just a stone throw away from patio and pool area. Another benefit is location to beaches and other properties like the Grand Hyatt and restaurants--all walkable! We love this place and will return in the future!!!

March, 2013 was our second stay at Poipu Shores, and our return trip did not disappoint. We stayed in both units 303a and 305a during this trip, and they were fantastic. Best part - sleeping with the windows open to hear the pounding surf just below all night - wow! The units are extremely well maintained and have everything you need to enjoy your stay. We especially enjoyed eating a casual breakfast on the lanai while watching the whales and sea turtles. We will be back again!

Poipu Shores is one of the best located condos in the Poipu area with gorgeous ocean views and just a short stroll to Poipu Beach Park and Brennekes. This particular unit #303a is beautifully decorated. The only problem that our family had is that there is very little storage. We stayed almost 2 weeks, and so did alot of our own cooking. There was no kitchen storage for grocery items. The bedroom closets were full of "stuff" leaving us very little space for unpacking our clothes and getting organized. For shorter stays, this might not be an issue.
Beautiful Ocean/Beach Views

I stayed recently with my best friend in this lovely condo for a "girls trip" for 5 days. It was very spacious and clean. I loved the views from the balcony and the master bedroom - it really is breathtaking. You could hear the ocean waves all day and all night and it was amazing. The condo has all your basic needs but we did find the beds too soft and the pillows a bit too big for our liking - we purchased pillows for our stay the very next day.
The location was perfect - central to everywhere and in walking distances to the beaches, shops and restaurants. It took us about 1 1/2 to get to Waimea Canyon on the west side and 1 1/2 to get to the north shore. 20 minutes to Lihue which was good as we needed to purchase groceries/gifts at Walmart and Costco.
I did ask the property manager, Patricia, to puchase some basic groceries (ie: eggs, milk, bread, yogurt and fruit) for us as we arrived late in the evening and wanted some breakfast food for the morning.

This oceanside property is a gem just feet from the surf. The interior of this apartment is flawless and luxurious while the setting is spectacular. To be able to watch whales breaching and turtles playing from your balcony (or bed!) is a joy. The view is 180 degrees! This third floor view is far superior to that of the lower floors.
The kitchen is brand new and well-appointed. Granite countertops, great appliances, layered lighting and an abundance of dishes makes entertaining a breeze. If you can take your eyes off the view, you will find an well-appointed and extremely livable space.
The master bedroom with ensuite bath is comfortable and spacious. Storage is plentiful and all fixtures are superior. There are ample personal touches and a generous supply of beach necessities as well as books and games for use. Full size new laundry is a bonus.
Our only fear in praising this condo is that it will be unavailable to us when we next wish to visit! There is no better on Ka

We stayed here over New Years and had an amazing vacation. The condo is clean, quiet and very well taken care of. We were able to watch turtles every morning while we had breakfast and saw amazing sunsets at night. Everything was as promised and I would recommend the condo to anyone.
Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Very nice condo, right on the ocean. Furnishings and dcor in condo are very nice and fit for Hawaii. We had most everything we needed right there - towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, cooler. The boys loved the movie selection (lots of James Bond) for their personal TV in their room. Although the condo is a little small, they tried to take advantage of the storage options available. There is not much closet space - but you dont need many clothes for the beach. We saw whales and turtles every day right from the lanai and the sunsets were awesome. Poipu is a great location as it was a little rainy in other parts of the island, but for the most part, Poipu was sunny. We really liked Poipu Beach just a short walk away where we learned to paddle board and snorkeled almost every day. Highly recommend!

Overall a nice facility, great pool, and loved sitting on the balcony and watching the waves break 40-50 feet away. Clean facility, nice appliances, only major drawback was no a/c. Most days had enough trade winds that you could open windows to compensate, but when other people used the common BBQ in the evenings that was less than desirable.

The second trip to this property for my husband and myself and by far the best! When you open the door to the unit and can see the ocean waves through the glass doors it is breathtaking! The condo is beautifully upgraded - it was hard to leave to enjoy the rest of the island! Construction noise in a nearby unit upon arrival was annoying, but it tapered off after a couple days ( we made sure we were gone working hours). The entrance walkways could be swept more often; littered with the same leaves, dead bugs, and construction grit for days. But this was all minor considering the fabulous condo, breathtaking surroundings, relaxing pool, and adventures on the beautiful island! This trip to paradise was our first trip to the island of Kauai. The condo came highly recommended by a coworker who did not steer us wrong, the place was great. The owner was very helpful, including an IPad app that helped us navigate through our stay. The location was spectacular, the unit was wonderful, we can hardly wait until our return, hopefully an annual event. Dont forget your golf clubs, the island golf experience was great. Aloha!
